More Providers Invest in Digital Advice Provider

Providers investing in NextCapital are striving to improve outcomes for investors.

AllianceBernstein (AB), Manulife and Route 66 Ventures have joined Transamerica Ventures, Russell Investments, FinTech Collective, Kelvingrove, and Vermont Seed Capital Fund as shareholders in NextCapital, a provider of digital advice.

NextCapital provides partners with an integrated platform for delivering automated personal financial advice—including holistic portfolio tracking, planning, savings advice, and portfolio management. “As a leading global asset manager, we pursue solutions designed to enhance our clients’ experience and improve their outcomes,” says Peter Kraus, chairman and chief executive officer of AB.

NextCapital enables institutional partners to bring to market a digital advice solution configurable to their needs, which includes:

  • Custom user experience;
  • Proprietary or third party investment methodology;
  • Self-service and adviser-assisted service models;
  • Multi-channel—supporting 401(k), IRA, and retail brokerage accounts; and
  • Integrations with 401(k) recordkeeping systems and retail custodians.

NextCapital recently upgraded its platform to add more personalization in 401(k) advice.
