Morningstar Investment Services Names New CIO

August 21, 2001 (PLANSPONSOR.com) ? Morningstar Investment Services has named Art Lutschaunig as chief investment officer.

He will be responsible for overseeing a staff of analysts and portfolio strategists and will manage all aspects of the portfolio engineering process for Morningstar Managed Portfolios, a fee-based, discretionary investment-management program.

Prior to joining Morningstar, Lutschaunig was executive vice president and director of research for Strategic Advisers, a Fidelity Investments company. There he was directly responsible for more than $11 billion in discretionary assets under management.

Lutschaunig also built the firm’s investment-management infrastructure, created a portfolio management process, and directed a mutual-fund research and analysis team.
