New Data Available on State DC Plans
August 4, 2008 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The Center for
State and Local Government Excellence announced that for the
first time detailed defined contribution plan data is
available for the 20 plans operated by state
governments.
Reported by Rebecca Moore
The data provided by the Center includes 2006 information on participation, contribution rates, investment allocation, total assets, and distribution options, among other things. The Center said the data will be updated annually and filled in for previous years.
In addition, the Center has released defined benefit plan data for 126 plans largely administered by states. The effort was coordinated with the Public Fund Survey.
The Center said it will release information on municipal pension plans later this year.
The state DC and DB plan data can be obtained here .
