New Investment Advisory Firm Opens For Business

July 17, 2003 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The newest addition to the investment advisory service world has opened its doors for business - Sustainable Growth Advisers, LP.

The New York-based firm will focus on managing portfolios for both U.S. and non-US institutions, a client base that will consist of mutual funds and individuals.   The firm’s portfoliomanagers seek to leverage their experience to provide clients asound investment approach, using a process of investing for the longterm in the best businesses at reasonable prices, according to a news release.

Sustainable Growth is the brainchild of Gordon Marchand and George Fraise, who prior to their latest venture, were with another New York advisory firm – Yeager Wood & Marshall Inc.   At Yeager Wood, the duo had $900 million in assets under management and served on the firm’s three-member investment policy committee.

Further, Fraise was co-portfolio manager of the John Hancock US Global LeadersGrowth Fund – subadvised by Yeager Wood – andof the offshore US Global Leaders Growth Fund, Ltd.   Marchand, who brings 24 years in investment management and consulting experience to his new position, was with Yeager Wood for a total of 17-years and served as the firm’s Chief Financial andOperating Officer.
