New Retirement Services Exec Part of Mercer Friday Appointments

April 20, 2007 (PLANSPONSOR.COM) - Mercer HR Services on Friday announced a series of executive appointments including a new manager in its retirement services area.

A Mercer news release said the company had tappedJoe Mehringer as the Total Retirement Product Manager and Sean D. Andersen as the Leader of Organizational Effectiveness Practices.

Mehringer will be responsible for enhancing Mercer HR Services’ defined contribution and defined benefit products including Web solutions that offer employees online self-service tools to better manage their employer-sponsored retirement benefits, the news release said.

Mehringer joins Mercer HR Services from Hewitt Associates where he was national practice leader for defined benefit services.

Meanwhile, as the Leader of Organizational Effectiveness Practices, Sean Andersen will be responsible for leading Lean Six Sigma process spanning operations, technology, and implementation across the organization.

Prior to joining Mercer HR Services, Andersen was Hewitt Associates’ Director of Benefit Operations and managed the deployment of best practices and delivery enhancements to defined contribution, defined benefit, and health and benefits divisions.

Finally, Mary P. Tinebra, 47, was named Global Leader of Sales and Alliances. Prior to joining Mercer HR Services in 2002, Tinebra was with Hewlett-Packard and predecessor Compaq for 12 years and held global sales leadership positions for both the product solutions and outsourcing organizations.
