New Stable Value Fund Launched
May 6, 2002 - MetLife and Wilmington Trust are now
offering a new stable value fund to defined contribution
retirement plans.
Reported by Fred Schneyer
The Wilmington Trust Stable Value fund uses MetLife’s Met Managed GIC as its underlying investment, the companies said in announcing the fund.
According to the announcement, the Met Managed GIC, with more than $7 billion in assets under management as of December 31, 2001, offers guaranteed rates and book value accounting.
The GIC gives the Wilmington Trust Stable Value Fund a broad range of investment choices that allow diversification by asset class, duration, overall credit quality, and investment manager, the companies claimed.
