Northern Trust Global Investments Gets New CEO

April 3, 2008 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Northern Trust has appointed Wayne Bowers as Chief Executive Officer of Northern Trust Global Investments Limited (NTGI), the London-based subsidiary, and multi-asset class investment management business of, Northern Trust Corporation.

According to the company’s announcement, Bowers is responsible for the continued growth and development of Northern Trust’s investment management business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (“EMEA”) and in the Asia-Pacific region. Bowers will report to Steve Potter, who was recently named President of Northern Trust Global Investments (See Northern Trust Turns to Potter as NTGI Head).

Bowers joined Northern Trust in 1999 as Director of Global Fixed Income, responsible for the London-based fixed income portfolio management team. He was appointed Chief Investment Officer for NTGI Limited in 2007 and has been acting CEO of NTGI Limited since December 2007.

Bowers previously has been with ABN Amro Bank and Hambros Bank.
