NYLIM Unveils Managed Account Product

November 4, 2002 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Small to mid-size institutions and their plan sponsor clients might want to consider a new managed accounts product from New York Life Investment Management (NYLIM).

According to a NYLIM product announcement, the MainStay Managed Accounts are run by MacKay Shields, an investment manager affiliated with NYLIM, and Q.E.D. Investments, a NYLIM division.

The accounts investment options come from

  • Prudential Financial
  • Charles Schwab & Co.,   Inc.
  • Brinker Capital Inc.
  • Lockwood Financial Services, Inc.
  • Advest, Inc.

The eight investment styles currently offered by MainStay Managed Accounts include a range of equity and fixed income alternatives that financial advisors can utilize in customizing investment plans for their clients, according to the company.

MacKay Shields will manage five of the options offered by MainStay Managed Accounts.

Q.E.D. Investments manages the remaining three options.

MainStay Managed Accounts has also  launched a Web site  for the new product. Among other things, the site features an Investment Capabilities section, which showcases the MacKay Shields and Q.E.D Investments management teams.
