Oppenheimer Introduces Enhancements for the "Do it for me" Investor

March 9, 2006 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - OppenheimerFunds, Inc. has announced enhancements to its Pinnacle full-service 401(k) program designed for those who prefer to delegate their financial planning to a third party.

In its announcement, Oppenheimer said “Managed by Morningstar” is a managed account service available through Morningstar Retirement Manager that is designed for investors who prefer the assistance of professionals or lack the time to manage their retirement assets.   With this feature, Morningstar Associates creates a personalized portfolio for a participant and manages it on an ongoing basis, including rebalancing the portfolio quarterly, if necessary.

In addition, an auto enrollment program, (k)ruiseControl, automatically enrolls participants upon eligibility and automatically increases their deferral rates annually.

“We recognize that each investor is different but should have the same opportunity to pursue his or her retirement goals,” says John Stoma, Director of Retirement Plans for OppenheimerFunds, in the announcement. “We want to provide advisors and plan sponsors with the tools to meet those goals regardless of their level of active participation in managing their retirement portfolios.”
