OppenheimerFunds Launches Risk-Specific Mutual Funds

April 11, 2005 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - OppenheimerFunds has announced the launch of the Oppenheimer Portfolio Series, a set of risk-specific asset allocation mutual funds that invest in a portfolio of mutual funds managed by the company.

Each of the funds – the Oppenheimer Conservative Investor Fund, the Oppenheimer Moderate Investor Fund, the Oppenheimer Active Allocation Fund and the Oppenheimer Aggressive Investor Fund – is tailored to different risk levels for investors, according to a company press release.

A team of company investment professionals will manage the Series. It will include: Kurt Wolfgruber, Chief Investment Officer; William Wilby, Director of Equities; Jerry Webman, Director of Fixed Income; Rudi Schadt, Director of Equity Analysis; and Caleb Wong (for Active Allocation Fund only), Vice President and Portfolio Manager.

Each fund has specific asset allocation targets that include US and foreign equities, fixed income, alternative investments, and hybrid funds. The funds are rebalanced at least every year, according to the company.

Each fund requires a minimum initial investment of $1,000 ($500 for a retirement account), according to the company. The Series is available across all OppenheimerFunds retirement products, including rollovers.
