Partnership to Help Employers with Talent Management

June 7, 2006 ( - SuccessFactors, Inc., a provider of on-demand performance and talent management solutions, today announced a partnership with Development Dimensions International (DDI), a global human resources consulting firm, to help customers more effectively implement succession management, performance management and leadership development systems.

According to the announcement, customers will be able to link their performance and talent management initiatives through a single solution that combines SuccessFactors’ technology with DDI’s competency library, succession and performance management methodologies and leadership development content.

The SuccessFactors technology solution is supported by DDI’s Online Performance and Learning tool (OPAL), which includes the competency library, the announcement said. Combined, they provide online development and day-to-day performance resources that enhance employee performance, and allow employees to receive coaching and expert guidance on handling work situations while developing important business competencies.

SuccessFactors’ technology includes solutions for performance management and 360s, goal alignment, succession planning, compensation, and employee surveys, as well as solutions to streamline and automate the performance review process for individual managers and small teams.

The company’s 2006 Performance and Talent Management Trend Survey revealed that a significant number of companies have no strategic plan in place to manage talent assets, little to no visibility into their individual talent pools, and no comprehensive merit plans in place to reward performance (See Survey Finds Employers not Using Talent Wisely ).
