Paycheck Site Opened

August 26, 2002 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Payroll and human resource administrators have a new place to point workers who want more detailed information about their paycheck.

Launched just ahead of National Payroll Week (September 2 to September 6), the Web site ( www.nationalpayrollweek.com/mypaycheck ,) deals with questions such as:

  • If I save 5% of my pre-tax income in a 401(k) account, about how much can I expect to have in my account ten years from now?
  • How can I save pre-tax dollars to help pay for my children’s college education?
  • If I am getting married, what steps must I take to ensure that my benefits are up to date?
Will paper paychecks soon be a thing of the past?

The site is designed to help workers better understand their paychecks in order to take advantage of possible tax savings and to reduce controllable costs. It is also intended to be a tool for payroll and human resource managers so they can provide more useful information to their employees, according to organizers.

The site is sponsored by the Employer Services Division of ADP, Inc, and the American Payroll Association.
