Paychex and CPA2Biz Extend Alliance


June 15, 2011( - In a recent press release, Paychex, Inc., and CPA2Biz, Inc., announced that they have extended their long-standing strategic alliance through September 2016. 


CPA2Biz is a subsidiary of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), for whose Trusted Business Advisor Program Paychex is a flagship service offering. According to the release, Paychex, which provides small- and medium-size businesses with payroll, human resource, and benefits outsourcing solutions, will remain the preferred provider for AICPA members and their clients through this relationship.  

According to the release, in 2003 CPA2Biz launched the AICPA Trusted Business Advisor Program and designated Paychex as the preferred provider of payroll services for clients. Since then, tens of thousands of CPAs have referred their clients to Paychex through the program. In 2005, the partner program expanded to include 401(k) recordkeeping services and was extended through September 2011.  In 2008, Paychex was named the preferred retirement services provider for AICPA members.

“This relationship has far exceeded the high expectations we had set for it when it launched back in 2003,” said Erik Asgeirsson, president and CEO, CPA2Biz.  “We are now excited to take it to a new level with the rollout of a firm-based payroll platform which will integrate with our growing suite of cloud based solutions and allow Paychex to attract and engage an even broader segment of CPAs.”
