Paychex Expands Online Offerings

February 5, 2004 (—Paychex, Inc. improved its Paychex Online services and now offers live Web seminars, enhanced online product demonstrations, and the opening of a second online customer service center.

According to a press release, the live, interactive Web seminars give information about three of Paychex’s Internet-based products: Paychex Online Payroll, General Ledger Reporting Service, and Internet Report Service.   These three services can be provided to accounting professionals at no cost, with Paychex’s client authorization, which will eliminate some of the printing and delivery of reports.

Each week, Paychex will offer three free web seminars for approximately 30 to 45 minutes to show business owners the basics of how to use online payroll.   There will also be a second, more comprehensive Web seminar for clients to access once they begin using online payroll.   Paychex will also offer weekly live Web seminars for its Internet Report Service and General Ledger Reporting Service.

Bi-monthly seminars will be made available to accounting professionals through Paychex’s partnership with AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants).   Further information can be found at .

Paychex has also enhanced some of its existing products, including Employee Earnings Record, Reportlink, and Online Product Demonstrations.   With the introduction of Paychex Internet Report Service, the Employee Earnings Record now offers on-demand access to employee payroll information for business owners.   With Reportlink, online payroll clients can generate reports with access to employee payroll information going back 18 months, the press release said.

In addition to its online service center in Rochester, New York, Paychex has opened a second online service center in Denver, Colorado.
