PensionsFirst Brings on Wilen as Principal

A news release said Wilen will help expand PensionsFirst’s North American business, armed with two decades of industry experience.

According to the company, PensionsFirst “substantially improves the way the global defined benefit pensions industry measures and manages funding and risk.” The company’s flagship business intelligence platform – PFaroe – integrates asset and liability risk measures in a Web-based application. PensionsFirst launched its North American business in February 2011.

Prior to joining PensionsFirst, Wilen served as a senior executive leading Aon Hewitt East Retirement Market Team as well as serving on the Global Risk Services leadership team. In this role he was responsible for growing Hewitt’s retirement business in the East market as well as helping to lead Hewitt’s Global Risk Services marketing and business development efforts.

Wilen also provided strategic consulting advice to clients on pension risk management, retirement plan design, global benefit strategy and governance issues. He also gained experience in Hewitt’s domestic and international retirement practices as well as in the management of large, complex HR business process outsourcing client relationships, the company said.
