According to the announcement, employees will answer a series of questions about the cause of their disability and provide information about their current position. The employee can then choose to submit the form directly over the Web site.
The Principal will evaluate the claim and begin disability management, including rehabilitation, job analysis and modification, resume preparation and outplacement services.
Cindy Ford, claims director for the Principal Financial Group, said in the announcement, “Offering online submission is simply one more way we can expedite the process to ensure the best possible outcome for our members.”
