A Principal news release said that the new tools include a seminar and workbook, Understanding Your Employer’s Retirement Benefits, and support materials for meetings held by a Principal education account executive.
“The new suite of education and enrollment tools also present a more complete picture of what the employer provides as a retirement benefit,” said Julie LeClere, marketing director, Retirement and Investor Services at The Principal, in the news release. “Employees can make more informed choices–choosing investment direction in a 401(k) plan, for example, when they consider the defined benefit plan as part of their overall strategy.”
Continued LeClere: “Now we’ve combined that proven DB seminar with easy to understand information about DC plans to give employees the whole picture of what is really a very invaluable and increasingly rare retirement savings combination.”
