March 30, 2007 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The Profit Sharing/401(k) Council of America (PSCA) is using its National 401(k) Day materials to launch a year-round campaign designed to promote awareness of 401(k) plans.

The program offers free communication materials to employers for use on National 401(k) Day, which is September 7, as well as seasonal campaigns for PSCA members.

Four Campaigns

According to the announcement, the four campaigns address:

  • The need to grow your savings by enrolling in the plan – Spring,
  • How increasing savings rates will generate results – Summer,
  • The importance of taking charge, getting involved, and making smart decisions – Fall, and
  • Weathering the ups and downs of long-term investing – Winter.

The communication materials include posters, letters, postcards, and Web casts, and many are customizable, available for both 401(k) and 457 plans, and available in English or Spanish. The campaign will also include access to interactive materials including a calculator, video, quiz, and annual retirement checkup.

In addition, the announcement said PSCA has introduced a series of articles for participants employers can place on their Intranet or in a newsletter.

All materials are available at http://www.401kday.org .
