Rice Gets New York Life Web Post

June 24, 2010 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – New York Life Retirement Plan Services has tapped  Rachel Rice, a Web expert focusing on the financial services industry, as director of Web strategy, a new position, effective immediately.  

A news release said Rice, who reports to Deanna Garen, managing director of Strategic Marketing, will oversee New York Life Retirement Plan Services’ Web strategy enhancements, for plan participants and sponsors. The announcement said Rice will drive both the technical and strategic aspects of the firm’s new Web sites, scheduled to be introduced in the fall of 2010.  

 Rice joins New York Life from Ringel Rice, LLC, a Web strategy and business consulting firm she founded in 2009. Prior to that, she spent seven years at Fidelity Investments serving as vice president of Web strategy, Web experience and channel management in the firm’s Workplace Savings group.  

 Rice holds her Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania and her Master’s in Management from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
