Russell Opens Research and Strategy Group

March 22, 2004 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - As part of the firm's US Institutional Investment Services, Russell Investment Group has launched a new Research and Strategy Group.

The new strategy group will provide a range of research-based solutions in areas including asset allocation and asset liability, portfolio strategies and implementation approaches.   Robert Blackwell, managing director, institutional research and strategy, will head up the new group, according to a news release.

Overall, the Research and Strategy Group includes 13 associates, a group that includes:

  • John Ilkiw – director, global consulting practices
  • Michael Hall – director, asset/liability strategy
  • Robert Collie – director, with special responsibility for researching the risks and costs associated with implementing investment programs.

The group also will work closely with Russell’s existing Capital Markets Research team on matters involving specific market research and forecasts, and economic environments. Russell plans to expand the Research and Strategy Group as client demand requires.
