Securian Names Sales Director for Independent Distribution Group
August 16, 2011 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – Louis Slagle was promoted to sales director of Securian Financial Group’s Independent Distribution Group (IDG), a nationwide network of independent insurance brokers who market Securian life insurance products to individuals and small businesses.

In his new role, Slagle will be responsible for building the network, supporting network members and looking for product development opportunities.
According to a press release, prior to his promotion, Slagle was a case design consultant. He joined Securian in 2008 as an internal life insurance wholesaler for Minnesota Life Insurance Company, a Securian subsidiary. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
