Security Trust Opens RIA Platform

March 26, 2003 ( - Security Trust Company has unwrapped a master custody back-office platform for registered investment advisors (RIAs).

Advisor Advantage is geared to provide data aggregation to RIAs in a single access source, supplying information on investment transactionswithin an account that includes asset data collection, reconciliation, and reporting, even from multiple investment sources, according to the firm.  This is facilitated by electronic connections with more than 30 New York Stock Exchange member firms allowing Security Trust to receive the necessary data files.

Included in the back-office infrastructure is:

  • Web-based reporting
  • Trading and settlement of mutual funds
  • Cashiering
  • Invoicing
  • Administration of separately managed accounts. 

Further, the platform provides automated daily trading and exchanges in the following areas:

  • Unitization of separately managed accounts
  • Company stock and cash, and fund of funds
  • Individually directed brokerage accounts with multiple brokers

Additionally, Advisor Advantage offers trustee services for personal trusts, estates, and retirement plans and same-day/late-day trading of mutual funds for retirement plans.
