Segal Expands Health Plan Claims Audit Capabilities

has announced an agreement with Benefit Informatics to expand
electronic claims audit capabilities for clients.

“This agreement provides our clients with a sophisticated new tool to enable plan sponsors to make sure critical plan features are properly being adjudicated and contract terms are being met,” Edward A. Kaplan, Senior Vice President and Segal’s National Health Practice Leader, said in the announcement. Kaplan said the new online capabilities also provide health plan sponsors with another way to determine the drivers of costs.
According to the announcement, Benefit Informatics is a health care technology company that provides application services to organizations administering and servicing employee benefit plans.
