Segal Hires Two to Expand Public Sector Health Practice

Vieira has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare. Most recently, he was head of the Government Programs Health Actuarial Practice in Aon Hewitt’s Atlanta office. Vieira worked with states and other large governmental employers primarily on state health plans, Medicaid programs and a range of actuarial issues.
Vieira holds a BS in software engineering from Syracuse University. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
Ward has more than 15 years of experience focusing on public sector health plans with several consulting firms. Most recently, he was a consultant for Aon Hewitt’s Atlanta office. Ward has experience in client and staff management, strategic benefits planning and business development.
He holds a BS in mathematics from George Mason University, and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
Vieira and Ward are located in Atlanta and are working with John Flynn, senior vice president and East Region manager, Stuart Wohl, senior vice president and East Region Health Practice leader, and Cathie Eitelberg, National Public Sector Market director.
