SEI Enhances PensionConnect to Monitor Investment Strategy

April 10, 2006 ( - SEI has announced that it has further expanded its PensionConnect 360 solution for frozen plans to provide a management process that continually monitors plan assets and liabilities to ensure a dynamically aligned investment strategy over time.

By adding these management capabilities to its frozen plan PensionConnect 360 solution, SEI has created an offering designed to meet the needs of plan sponsors at every step of the pension life cycle, according to the announcement.   The solution is designed to limit undesirable risk, establish predictable pension metrics and help achieve the goals for each individual plan.

By integrating all aspects of plan management, including investment, actuarial and administrative functions, the enhanced version of PensionConnect 360 helps frozen plan sponsors set the appropriate plan goals, implement comprehensive investment strategies and constantly monitor those strategies to ensure goals are met, the announcement said.

In addition, the modeling functionality combines proprietary technology with strategic advice to create a customized framework for ongoing portfolio rebalancing based on the time horizon of the plan, the company’s finances and the plan’s funded levels throughout the process.

PensionConnect 360 was introduced in September 2004 (See SEI Touts Integrated Pension Tool ).   A version for multiemployer plans was launched earlier this month (See SEI Launches Management Solution for Multiemployer Plans).
