Service Tracks Users’ Online Experience With Plan Providers

October 2, 2012 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – Corporate Insight has launched a new subscription research service, Retirement Plan Monitor.

This new Monitor service will track the website capabilities and marketing materials that retirement plan sponsors provide to plan participants. The tool offers subscribers an unbiased, first-hand view of the user experience by monitoring live accounts that are held by actual plan participants at each firm.

Retirement Plan Monitor will provide firms with a look at the online capabilities and participant communications that their competitors provide, along with Corporate Insight’s analysis of industry trends and best practices.

Corporate Insight will track a number of the industry’s defined contribution plan providers including:

ADP

AON Hewitt

Bank of America/Merrill Lynch

Charles Schwab

Diversified

Fidelity

Great West

ING

MassMutual

Mercer

New York Life

Principal

TIAA-CREF

T. Rowe Price

Vanguard

Wells Fargo

Retirement Plan Monitor’s inaugural report—“Introducing 16 Retirement Plan Providers and their Participant Websites”—analyzes three elements of the plan participant website experience: account maintenance resources, investment information and navigation. In the coming months, Corporate Insight will review the key aspects of each provider’s website, reporting about site changes and identifying industry trends and best practices.

Future reports will focus on such topics as retirement planning tools and calculators, transaction capabilities, account statements, and marketing materials.
