Blake will report to Rick Lacaille, global chief investment officer for SSgA. Brakke plans to retire on December 31, 2010.
According to the announcement, Blake joined SSgA in 1987 and has held several senior positions within the organization, most recently head of non-US markets in the Global Structured Products Group. She has also served as a portfolio manager for several non-US index equity portfolios.
Blake is a member of SSgA’s Senior Management Group and Fiduciary Review Committee.

Lynn is a seasoned professional who is a passionate advocate for index management—a cornerstone of SSgA’s business,” Lacaille said in the announcement.
