Standard Adds Pension Offering In MN Office

August 11, 2005 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Standard Insurance Company announced it has added a regional retirement plans business line to its existing employee benefits sales and service operation in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

A Standard news release said the new sales office will serve plan sponsors and brokers throughout Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa and Wisconsin.

The company said Jim VanZwol, who has worked for The Standard since 1998, will serve as the pension consultant for the new business line, according to the announcement.

The Standard serves approximately 7.4 million customers nationwide as of December 31, 2005, with retirement products and services, investment advice and insurance products. More information is available at www.standard.com .
