Standard Insurance Releases K Plan Education Tool

March 18, 2004 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Standard Insurance Company has launched a new financial educational series for participants in the company's retirement plans.

401(k) on the Brain provides participants in plans provided by the StanCorp Financial Group Inc subsidiary a humorous look at retirement planning in everyday language.   The product is divided into different modules that include brochures and worksheets for participants, in addition to a PowerPoint presentation, according to a news release.

  • Building a Savings Plan
  • Saving Enough: Making Retirement Dreams Real.

“Our goal was to develop high-quality educational material that is entertaining and fun to work with,” Chris Dugan, director of marketing for The Standard’s Retirement Plans Division said in the release. “Participants want information that they can relate to, and 401(k) on the Brain gives them that.”

The company also said it plans to add to the series throughout the year by designing modules for special demographics within participant groups, including women and people nearing retirement age.
