The management team includes officers from both Sun Life’s and Genworth Financial’s group insurance divisions, according to a news release.
The new organization will be led by Michael Shunney as Senior Vice President and General Manager . Previously head of Sun Life’s Group Insurance division, Shunney will continue to report to Bob Salipante, President of Sun Life Financial U.S.
The Product Center will be led by Sue Schoch, formerly EBG’s Acting President & CEO. Schoch also will manage the individual voluntary and fully insured medical product lines as well as site operations in Windsor, Connecticut, and Greenfield, Massachusetts, the announcement said.
The Life and Disability Product Center will be led by Scott Beliveau , formerly head of Sun Life’s Life and Disability businesses.
The Markets Product Center will be led by Mike Huppert, formerly EBG’s Acting Vice President, Product Management and Valuation. The Product Center will be led by Chris Brown, formerly head of Sun Life’s Stop-Loss business. The Sales Organization will be led by Drew Niziak, formerly head of distribution for Sun Life, the press release said.
A newly formed External Markets organization will be led by Joel Sanders , focusing on strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and other strategic distribution activities to facilitate increased organic growth. Sanders was formerly Senior Vice President of Sales for EBG.
Strategic Performancewill be led by Chris Quinn, formerly head of Strategic Performance at Sun Life, the announcement said.
Group Finance and Actuarialmanagement will be led by Carol Whaley, formerly head of a similar organization at Sun Life.
