In the announcement, SunGard said the solution is comprised of plan document services, plan document amendments (IRS required and employer), and document restatement services. DMS is structured to allow a customer to choose the level of involvement SunGard takes in the creation and distribution of their plan documents, supporting form packages, amendments, summary plan description booklets, and restatement documents.
The service can also include a support center designed to answer questions from customers’ field personnel (agents) and clients to assist them in understanding adoption agreement provisions, the announcement said. The solution provides customers with tools for real-time access to all documentation received and sent to their clients.
