Retirement plan sponsors are no strangers to complexity. As defined contribution (DC) plans and assets continue to expand, so do government regulation, increasingly diverse investment options and evolving participant education needs. Plan sponsors must keep up with these changes and developments, in addition to the day-to-day management of their retirement plans.
Invesco is dedicated to providing DC plan sponsors the information they need to build better retirement plans. The company’s efforts recently earned DC Matters magazine the 2015 Mutual Fund Education Alliance (MFEA) STAR Retirement Award for thought leadership in the “large asset” category (companies with over $100 billion in assets under management [AUM]).
About DC Matters
The bottom line is that plan sponsors need content that helps them fulfill their daily duties, as well as understand how their plan fits into the industry overall. To help them accomplish this, Invesco publishes DC Matters, which includes articles on timely, forward-thinking topics that are relevant to the challenges plan sponsors face. These topics are discussed by experts both from Invesco and the greater retirement plan industry.
About the Award
To select the winner of the thought leadership award, MFEA looked for companies that educate, inform and assist with the fiduciary responsibilities of plan sponsors, plan administrators and investment committees. MFEA is a longtime sponsor of awards for mutual fund communications that focus on investor education and engagement in the investment process; however, it only recently introduced such awards to the retirement marketplace, to recognize the unique needs of plan sponsors and participants for receiving comprehensive education.
