According to a press release, Barnes will help organizations with all aspects of employee rewards, including compensation and total rewards strategy, base pay and variable pay plan design, sales compensation and job leveling, while providing support across the Southeast region.
Based in the company’s Charlotte, N.C. office, Barnes has more than 30 years of industry experience, according to the firm, which notes that he has worked with domestic and global companies across multiple industry segments including airline, energy, financial services, insurance, communications, manufacturing and retail.
Prior to joining Towers Watson, Barnes was a principal in the Human Capital practice at Mercer. He also held various human resource positions at large U.S. financial services firms.
