Towers Watson Hires Two to Help Hospital Employers

January 20, 2012 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Towers Watson has hired two industry veterans to consult with hospital and health care employers.

Alice King and Annette Bussineau bring extensive health care industry expertise to hospitals that are rethinking and restructuring their physician compensation and leadership programs for the evolving health care model, according to the firm.    

King, who is based in Towers Watson’s Dallas office, was previously vice president of contract administration and payment solutions for ESI Healthcare Business Solutions. She has more than 25 years of experience in provider contracting, payment and reimbursement, health care operations and claim administration. She has worked with hospitals, health systems and physician organizations to develop transparent, measurable, performance-based compensation programs that hold physicians accountable for quality and outcomes.

King earned a J.D., cum laude, from New York Law School, an M.B.A. from Butler University and a B.S. from California State University, Long Beach.   

Bussineau, who works in Towers Watson’s Detroit office, joined from Sullivan, Cotter and Associates, Inc., where she was a senior consultant. With more than 15 years of experience, Bussineau is an expert on physician compensation, productivity and on-call pay. She works with hospitals, health systems and law firms to determine the fair market value and reasonableness of employment and physician services arrangements. She also assesses pay levels related to physician executive and leadership arrangements and medical directorships, and assists in the design and evaluation of on-call pay arrangements and programs.   

Bussineau holds a B.S. from Michigan State University.
