Transamerica Offers Account Info via Mobile Devices

April 27, 2010 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – Participants in Transamerica Retirement Services’ client plans now have read-only access to their account information via an iPhone or iPod touch.

A news release said participants can use the device’s Web browser to navigate towww.TA-Retirement.com, where they can view:

  • Account information, including account balance, vested balance, available loan amount, most recent contribution date, year-to-date rate of return, and pending transactions and distributions;
  • Investment choice selections and allocation percentages allowed under their plan; and 
  • Current investment performance.

To make changes to account information, participants will need to log on to their accounts by computer or by phone.

“Transamerica is committed to finding new ways to incorporate advanced technology to help our plan participants make the most of their retirement plan,” said Stig Nybo, president of Transamerica Retirement Services, in the news release. “By leveraging mobile technology, many of our participants will now be able to monitor their retirement savings progress in new, convenient ways.”
