TRIVIAL PURSUITS: What were the real names of Columbus’ ships?

October 9, 2012 – Niña was not the actual name of one of Columbus’ three ships; do you know what was?

The Niña’s real name was the Santa Clara; it was nicknamed Niña after its owner, Juan Niño of Moguer.  

The other two ships, of course, were the Santa Maria, and the Pinta (“Painted”).
