Union Financials Available at New DoL Site

June 4, 2002 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Union annual financial reports are now more accessible now that they have been posted on a new US Department of Labor (DoL) Web site.

According to the DoL, the visitors to the site can view the reports in pdf format or conduct data searches. Users can search the database by:

  • union,
  • time frame, or
  • for union officers or employees

Users can decide how the search engine’s results will be displayed, the DoL said.

According to the DoL, users can also order copies of union information reports, union annual financial reports regardless of the year filed, and union constitutions/bylaws from the Internet Public Disclosure Room for a nominal fee.

The site is maintained by the DoL’s Office of Labor-Management Standards (OLMS).

The reports, required by federal law, used to be available only from the OLMS public disclosure room in Washington or from an OLMS field office.
