Wausau To Acquire Part of Marsh's Business

October 29, 2002 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Wausau Benefits will acquire the Des Moines-based retiree benefits administration operations of Marsh, Inc., a division of Marsh & McLennan Companies.

The acquisition will transfer operations and assets for a portion of Marsh’s third-party benefits administration (TPA) business and other administrative services, operated from the Des Moines office.

Additionally, Wausau will gain renewal rights to approximately 28 customers based primarily in the Midwest, and add a claim operation in Des Moines.
