Wells Fargo Names Insurance Practice Leader for International Biz

January 15, 2010 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Wells Fargo Insurance Services has named Edward Cha insurance practice leader for its International Employee Benefits Practice (IEBP).

Cha is responsible for supporting the growth of the IEBP, developing new service offerings, and will be actively involved with key customers and prospective customers, according to a press release.

Prior to joining Wells Fargo Insurance Services, Cha worked for Mercer as a client management partner and as an international consultant, providing support to Mercer’s multinational clients as a relationship manager and partnering with market leaders to drive revenue growth. As an international consultant, Cha also worked on a range of projects including international benefits and compensation issues, coordination of global Financial Accounting Standards 87 and 106 valuations, and mergers and acquisitions, the announcement said.

Cha received his bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a master’s degree in applied mathematics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
