529 Plan Enhancements Announced

February 3, 2003 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - New York Life Investment Management LLC (NYLIM) and Schoolhouse Capital, LLC, announced enhancements to the CollegeSense 529 Higher Education Savings Plan including a new fund and "dual track investing."

According to a news media release, the companies will add the Salomon Brothers Investors Value Fund to many of CollegeSense’s investment portfolios Salomon Brothers Asset Management joins NYLIM, JPMorgan Fleming Asset Management and State Street Global Advisors in managing CollegeSense funds

The newly introduced Dual Track Investing feature offers age-based investing in combination with CollegeSense’s other portfolios allowing investors to achieve more customized asset allocations, the announcement said. CollegeSense has a total of nine investment options including an age-based investment option, five asset allocation portfolios, and three single asset class portfolios.

CollegeSense is distributed by New York Life Distributors Inc. and administered by Schoolhouse Capital, LLC, CollegeSense is sponsored by The Education Trust Board of New Mexico.
