529 Web Portal Offers Education, Compliance

April 15, 2003 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - An Andover, Massachusetts online products provider has weighed into the crowded 529 college savings market with an education and sales Web site for institutional buyers.

NewRiver Inc. said in an announcement that its College Savings Central site is aimed at program managers, third-party benefit service providers, and brokerages by providing compliance information as well as educational materials from College Savings Consultants.

According to the announcement, customers may be able to kick off a 529 more quickly and more cheaply with the new site. Included at the site, the company said, are:

  • education, reference, and compliance materials
  • a comparison tool allowing a simultaneous look at three plans
  • the ability to provide print or electronic prospectus or compliance information delivery.
