APG, Swiss Life Adopt STOXX Global Equity Benchmarks

European institutional investors APG Asset Management and Swiss Life Asset Managers are among the early adopters of a new family of global equity indexes  from STOXX, Investable Market Indexes. STOXX, like PLANSPONSOR, is owned by ISS STOXX.

The indexes—which aim to capture 99% of the investable equity universe throughout 23 developed and 23 emerging markets—are designed to support cost-effective modern portfolio construction through a consistent, transparent and scalable framework, STOXX stated in its announcement.

“With the launch of STOXX IMI, we are introducing a cost-effective new choice in the market and further strengthening STOXX’s role as a global partner for institutional investors, providing robust, transparent benchmark solutions alongside the flexibility, client service and tailored offerings that institutional investors increasingly expect from their index provider,” said Axel Lamholt, STOXX’s general manager, in a statement.

Capital Group Expands PlanPremier Recordkeeping Solution Capabilities

Capital Group Companies Inc., a retirement plan provider and global asset manager, expanded recordkeeping capabilities within its PlanPremier recordkeeping solution.

The enhanced solution offers adviser and plan sponsors:

  • more flexible pricing and expanded investment options;
  • holistic financial wellness guidance through Capital Group’s digital participant engagement program, ICanRetire; and
  • a personalized service experience that includes an expanded, dedicated relationship team.

Capital Group managed more than $200 billion in assets across more than 370,000 plans as of May 31.

Russell Investments Launches 2 Actively Managed ETFs

Russell Investments launched two actively managed exchange-traded funds: the Russell Investments Global Real Estate ETF and the Russell Investments Core Bond Plus ETF. Both funds began trading on NYSE Arca and NYSE Texas in June.

The Russell Investments Global Real Estate ETF is a real estate securities fund that invests in real estate investment trusts and real estate-related companies worldwide.

The Russell Investments Core Plus Bond ETF is a diversified bond fund offering broad exposure to global fixed-income markets, including government bonds, corporate credit and securitized assets.

Teladoc Health Offers Personalized Virtual Care Practice

Virtual healthcare company Teladoc Health Inc. announced the launch of Teladoc One, a platform designed to adapt to an individual’s care needs and lower employer healthcare costs through artificial-intelligence-driven risk monitoring.

Teladoc One provides patients with:

  • a multidisciplinary virtual care team that includes licensed clinicians, certified health coaches, registered dieticians, mental health therapists and other specialists;
  • a human care guide who escalates the patient’s care plan to other members of the care team when necessary, coordinating with in-network primary care physicians and specialists; and
  • AI that leverages an individual’s care history and preferences to check in, send reminders, help with scheduling and gather information that is sent to the human care team.

Programs under Teladoc One will launch with select clients in September, with broader availability beginning in January 2027.

MHW Unveils Healthcare Solutions Bundle

MHW Benefit Partners, an employee benefits provider, launched MHW+, an integrated package of healthcare coverage, care and saving solutions designed to provide employers with greater control over rising healthcare costs. The package is designed for companies with between 100 and 2,000 employees.

The program offers employers the following:

  • support for employees navigating complex therapies, such as glucagon-like peptide-1 medications;
  • bundled administrative fees, a percentage of savings solutions and pooled renewal protections;
  • financial assistance programs for high-cost drugs, mail-order and cash card services, to reduce out-of-pocket prescription costs; and
  • dedicated advocates to give employees personalized support to secure the best care pricing for medical procedures.

Wellington, Vanguard, Blackstone ‘Alliance’ Eyes ‘Retirement-Specific’ Products

Wellington Management Co. LLP, the Vanguard Group Inc. and Blackstone Inc. launched two investment funds offering access to professionally managed portfolios that combine public and private market investments. The new funds will first be available to clients of Bank of America.

While specifics and timelines about products for retirement savers are not yet public, a Blackstone spokesperson confirmed that the three companies are collaborating on “retirement-specific solutions.”

The funds—WVB All Markets Fund and WVB Blackstone All Privates Fund—are initially intended to “help advisers build more diversified portfolios for high-net-worth and mass-affluent clients,” according to the announcement.

The WVB All Markets Fund, a multi-asset solution combining public and private markets investments, will trade under the tickers WVBIX, WVBAX and WVBMX.

The WVB Blackstone All Privates Fund, a professionally managed solution, provides access to Blackstone’s perpetual private markets platform, including private equity, private infrastructure, private real estate and private credit in a single allocation.

Wellington will serve as the fiduciary of both funds.
