The indices will represent between 48% and 68% of their respective market capitalization. Dow Jones has set a weightings cap of 10% to stop individual stocks from dominating an index.

Each new Titan is calculated in both US dollars and local currency.

Exchange-traded funds are “baskets” of securities similar to a mutual fund, except that they trade like individual stocks. According to IPE Newsline, Dow Jones expects to see new ETFs launched on some of the new indices later this year.

Full details of the Titan indices are at the  Dow Jones Web site.
