DirectAdvice Expands Advice Offerings

May 1, 2001 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - DirectAdvice has expanded its online financial advice platform, broadening services available through financial services companies to plan sponsors.

The new DirectAdvice platform provides interactive decision support for self-directed customers, as well as real-time intervention by an advisor or through a call center for customers seeking a more hands-on approach.

Their new approach is based on a usability review by Human Factors International, resulting in a modular approach that breaks the financial planning process into 10 to15 minute increments.

The process works as follows:

  • a financial “consultation”, leading to a high level assessment
  • development of a core financial plan with personalized advice on saving and investing for retirement, education and home ownership, as well as other personal and family goals

Additional modules deliver personalized advice on insurance, retirement distribution, for both taxable and tax-advantaged investment portfolios.
