If You Left a Job, Would You Take the T.P.?
March 30, 2009 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - A new survey by
insurance provider MassMutual finds that many Americans walk
away from a job with just about everything that is not nailed
down.

A news release said the poll, taken by Harris Interactive, found that 27% of respondents have taken something that did not belong to them when departing from an employer’s office.
Of those, more than 75% walked away with office supplies, from pens and pencils to staplers and calculators. Some 18% have grabbed plants and flowers and 14% have taken furnishings such as, paintings, chairs, desks and lamps.
Some 11% take clients and even business associates (7%) right along with them, the news release said. Four-percent even left with toilet tissue.
The poll also included a variety of questions about the number of respondents who had disability insurance that was discontinued when they changed jobs.
