The Hartford Adds to Retirement Solutions Offering
March 31, 2006 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The Hartford
Financial Services Group has formed a team of retirement
experts who will provide assistance and coaching on financial
planning concepts for the firm's advisor clients, and has a
new product to help advisors assist clients in meeting
retirement income goals.

According to its announcement, The Hartford’s Retirement Solutions Group, led by John Diehl, is a team of 15 consultants focused on teaching f inancial professionals strategies to address issues such as small business planning, retirement income distribution and wealth transfer.
The Hartford Income Security is a fixed payment annuity which guarantees lifetime income starting at a future point and continuing for the rest of one’s life, the announcement said. With an up-front investment, this product enables people to ensure a steady stream of income for the rest of their lives. The Hartford Income Security has no cash or surrender value and does not allow for withdrawals.
