October 31, 2008 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - They say that a picture is worth a thousand words...

Well, here’s a thousand…

– – – In Adelaide, Australia, an unnamed man has managed to wrap a $250,000 360 Modena Ferrari around a light pole here – – – both he and his passenger were able to walk away – – – but the pole is “basically up where the gear stick should be” – – – MORE at http://www.news.com.au/common/imagedata/0,,6322150,00.jpg

OK, so it’s not a picture…but still….earlier this week the Transportation Security Administration said that airline passengers will likely be able to carry large (well, bigger than 3 oz) bottles of liquids on airplanes some time next year – – – though you’ll still have to remove liquids from carry-on bags at airport checkpoints and put them through X-ray machines separately.  MORE at http://www.tsa.gov/blog/

Al Capone is often given credit for the phrase "vote early and vote often," but in reality it was another famous Chicagoan.

Do you know who?

It was William Hale "Big Bill" Thompson , mayor of Chicago from 1915 to 1923 and again from 1927 to 1931.
