A Workplace Goblin: Your Boss?
October 22, 2007 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - With Halloween
right around the corner, workers have identified their own
workplace ghosts and goblins - in particular their
boss.

According to a recent poll by Adecco USA, employees say they most fear their company’s executives and are least afraid of their office receptionist.
Of those fearing someone at work, workers said they are most afraid of their:
- Boss, 34%
- President/CEO, 28%;
- Co-worker, 25%;
- HR representative, 9%; and
- Front desk receptionist, 5%.
The poll of about 2,400 adults also found that 60% of adults who are scared by a part of their job are afraid of making a mistake.
The poll also found that 46% of those whose job requires them to communicate with others and are scared of something at work are afraid of saying the wrong thing at work.
