'Abroad' Experience Benefits Finance Pros

January 10, 2002 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Almost 60% of CFOs in a recent survey agree that international experience will be at least somewhat necessary for accounting and finance professionals.

The survey asked CFOs how necessary they felt international experience would be for accounting and finance professionals five years from now.  Their responses:

  • one fifth thought it very necessary
  • a little over a third said it was somewhat necessary,
  • one in five said it was somewhat unnecessary,
  • just under 20% thought it very unnecessary

Just 5% didn’t have an opinion
