Acadient Unveils Certified Mutual Fund Specialist Designation

November 12, 2003 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Online education developer Acadient has rolled out its newest product, the Certified Mutual Fund Specialist Program (CMFS).

The new certification of the National Investment Company Service Association (NICSA) is a Web-based training program geared for professionals in the mutual fund industry.   The CMFS program is made up of 14 modules in three courses, covering approximately 24 hours of material, according to a news release.

The three courses cover:

  • overview of the mutual fund industry
  • mutual fund operations
  • mutual fund distribution and marketing.

Additionally, Acadient will offer “Free Module Access” at the company’s Web site for the general public interested in learning more about the mutual fund industry.   The course is available through the NICSA’s Online Training Center ( www.nicsa.org ) and the Acadient Academy ( www.acadient.com ).
